Im Sang-soo is one of the most talented directors of Korean’s New Wave. He has been in official Cannes’ competition in 2012 (THE TASTE OF MONEY) and in 2010 (THE HOUSEMAID) and at 2005’s director’s fortnight (THE PRESIDENT’S LAST BANG). He was also invited to Venice’s official competition in 2003 (A GOOD LAWYER’S WIFE). Im Sang-soo will be granted a Golden Honorary Award for his career during the festival’s opening ceremony
in Edwige Feuillère’s theater

Moreover, to honor French-Korean’s 130 diplomatic relations, FICA Vesoul will propose a special focus: “Literary adaptations in Korean Cinema” including Im Sang-soo’s adaptation of Hwang Sok-yong’s novel, THE OLD GARDEN.
