Festival director Anny Slater said the standard of film entered this year was exceptional and included Oscar winning film makers from Germany and the US as well as other award-winning film makers from Ireland, England, Australia and Canada. Ms Slater expects 2014 submissions may top 2013 numbers as word of the festival gets out to international and local film makers.  International film makers and dog lovers have seen the festival’s Facebook page swell in recent months to 50,000 subscribers.
