Performing in the shadow of the big stars like Billy Joel, Kiss, Ozzy, the hired guns we follow are called to perform on tours, in recording sessions, to replace missing band members or just to form a hot group around the key talent. The film puts these A list performers in the spotlight while giving us a chance to witness their incredible solo skills with some amazing moments when they jam together ("a perfect storm of awesomeness" quotes Fran Strine).

Hired Gun by Fran Strine played with success in key festivals (SXSW, Glastonbury...) finally gets it's theatrical premiere release this thursday, june 29th in 300 theaters nationally for one night only. Save the date.

Chances are you'll want to stand up and rock and shake in the theatre when you favorite song comes to screen.
Bruno Chatelin.
The filmmakers behind Hired Gun hope to do for backing musicians what 20 Feet From Stardom did for backup singers.
