The 10th anniversary edition of CinEast (Central and Eastern European Film Festival in Luxembourg) will take place from 5 to 22 October 2017 at the Luxembourg’s Cinémathèque, Neimënster cultural centre, Ciné Utopia, Vianden’s Ancien Cinema and other venues and will feature around a hundred screenings as well as numerous accompanying events.
We would like to invite you to come to discover the details of this year’s edition at the CinEast 2017 press conference held onThursday 21 September 2017 at 2.30 p.m. at the Cinémathèquede la Ville de Luxembourg (17, place du Théâtre, Luxembourg). We would be delighted to welcome you there and to share with you the complete festival programme, including the films in competition and members of our juries, as well as other exclusive information and materials.
It is the film Aurora Borealis, the latest work of the famous Hungarian director Márta Mészáros, with Mari Töröcsik, Ildikó Tóth, Antonio de la Torre as well as Hary Prinz, which will open the festival on 5 October (7 p.m. at Neimënster, original version with English subtitles). We are honoured to announce that this will be the European premiere of the film.

- short film marathons (fiction, documentary and animation) with Audience Awards in each category
