The awards are the "GOLDEN PEGASOS", film reels as well as crew services and shooting equipment prizes. Equally unique is the condition that these prizes must be utilized for their next project and spent in Corinthos, Greece.

An institution in open dialogue with other artistically creative forces of cinema and their organisers, like «Bridges» Peloponnesian International Film Festival, could not do otherwise but expand its communication with other film festivals. A special union is being created this way between the organisers and their efforts and hopes for a solid cultural result expanding in a wide range. Directors who have participated in Olympia International Film Festival for Children and Youth, Athens & Thessaloniki International Festivals, Drama Short Films Festival, Chalkis Documentary Festival and Cyprus International Film Festival have submitted their films also in «Bridges» Peloponnesian International Film Festival, in the form of a joint venture among all festivals. A unique bond is created this way.

«BRIDGES» PELOPONNESSIAN CORINTHIAN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL was established in 2008 in the framework of celebrations of 150 years of the foundation of Corinth.
The 2nd edition of the festival took place in 2011. On 2009 and 2010 it was cancelled due to national elections that occurred the same period. The opening of the 2nd festival was scheduled on October 14th 2009 with the presence and a live concert by the famous actor of Hollywood, Kevin Costner with his music band Modern West! Unfortunately, the national elections were announced on the 6th of September to be held on the 10th of October and the festival was cancelled. Within the framework of its annual organization CINE@ART Peloponnesian International Film Festival, carries on its close partnership with local authorities and other organizations, willing to provide to such an important aspect of our lives, culture, which is weakened through these hard times we are going through.
Pegasus, in ancient Greek mythology was thought to be the horse of Muses, which the poets rid and flew to stardom. This is the reason why «Golden Pegasus» Award is given to a feature length film, distinguished for its artistic value and its ability to «travel» and succeed in other film festivals. The Jury which will unveil the best film in the category «Golden Pegasus», is consisted by the internationally renowned BIll Butler - Director of Photography USA, Vivek Singhania – Indian producer, George F Roberson - American producer and writer, and George Tzavaras, director. The program includes screening of features, shorts, documentary and animation, a "Live Soundtrack Concert Bridges" with original music from selected films which participate in the festival and the Golden Pegasus Awards ceremony. An open discussion panel "The Importance of Music in the 7th Art and the Alchemy of Cinema" and a tribute to the director Costas Ferris with projection of his feature-length films will take place.
