Like so many of you, we have spent the last several days and weeks learning about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it is impacting our world. For the Palm Springs Film Society, that means understanding how it affects our employees, customers and communities, and then making the necessary adjustments to our work and operations.
We have one simple objective that guides us: keeping you, our community and our employees safe. This has been at the center of our conversations every step of the way.
We are closely following the Centers for Disease Control's (CDC) as well as County agency guidelines and recommendations on the steps we can take to help prevent the spread of the virus.
At this time, the Palm Springs International Film Society has decided to postpone all film society events through April due to the recent cautionary limit on small gatherings of more than 10 people by the California Department of Public Health. You can read more about that here.
We are continuing as planned for ShortFest in June, moving tickets and pass sales to May 1 instead of April. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and do all we can to protect the community, our customers and our employees.
We have one simple objective that guides us: keeping you, our community and our employees safe. This has been at the center of our conversations every step of the way.
Thank you all for your continued support.
