In 2021, the Sacramento French Film Festival is turning 20 and we invite you
to celebrate all year long, on our very own Streaming Platform: Virtual.SacramentoFrenchFilmFestival.org

WHAT: The SFFF 20^th ANNIVERSARY SEASON!

Leading up to the highlight of our 2021 season, the 20th Sacramento French Film Festival (June 18-27, 2021), we will host exclusive monthly film presentation in our new French Film Friday Series, and our popular Winter Shorts Fest will be back in its 14^th year. Always with English Subtitles! Here is a sneak peek at our 20^th anniversary season.

• FRENCH FILM FRIDAY SERIES
Starting in February 2021, we are happy to introduce our new monthly French Film Friday Series with exclusive films to be watched on-demand. Films will open on the last Friday of the month and remain available to rent for only 3 days on our Streaming Platform. Zoom Discussions with special guests will follow!

FRENCH FILM FRIDAY SERIES CALENDAR:

• February 2021: HOW TO BE A GOOD WIFE (La Bonne Epouse), a feminist comedy by César-winning director Martin Provost (Séraphine - SFFF 2009, The Midwife - SFFF 2017)
starring Juliette Binoche, Yolande Moreau & Noémie Lvovsky.
Opening on Friday, February 26, 2021 (→ available to rent for 3 days)

+ Transatlantic Zoom Discussion withDirector/Screenwriter Martin Provost on Sunday, February 28 at Noon PST.

• March 2021: THE FANTASTIC JOURNEY OF MARGOT AND MARGUERITE (L'Aventure des Marguerite), a super fun comedy and time traveling adventure for the whole family, by Pierre Coré.
Opening on Friday, March 26, 2021 (→ available to rent for 3 days)

• April 2021: LITTLE GIRL (Petite Fille) an award-winning documentary by Sébastien Lifshitz. The touching portrait of Sasha, an eight-year-old transgender girl, and her family. A gentle reminder of the power of kindness and acceptance.
Opening on Friday, April 30, 2021 (→ available to rent for 3 days)

• May 2021: TBA

• 14th WINTER SHORTS FEST - Featuring the Short Films Nominated for a 2021 César Award• March 2021 on our Streaming Platform.
Exact date TBA (depends on the date of the 2021 César ceremony, currently scheduled for March 12 but subject to change).

• 20th SACRAMENTO FRENCH FILM FESTIVAL• June 18-27, 2021 on our Streaming Platform.
At this time we are planning for a virtual “10 days-10 films” event similar to our 2020 edition.

• NEW RELEASE on VIRTUAL CINEMA • All year long 
In addition to our curated programs, we will continue to partner with U.S. film distributors to present their French film releases on Virtual Cinema as they become available. Rentals support the Sacramento French Film Festival.
