The SXSW Online 2021 experience continues to expand as the acclaimed Film Festival slate and another fascinating round of speakers have been revealed.
This year’s Film Festival will showcase 75 features, including 57 World Premieres. From Opening Night headliner Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil to Closing Night entry Alone Together, this year we’re also introducing a Centerpiece film, Tom Petty, Somewhere You Feel Free. The festival lineup will highlight a wide range of features, shorts, episodics, Virtual Cinema projects, and special events as viewers will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the smartest, most innovative and entertaining new work of the year.
Today we’re truly honored to add Stacey Abrams as a Keynote. A formidable force in the recent election, her conversation with science fiction writer N.K. Jemisin taps into the kind of creative energy that only happens at SXSW. Featured Speakers joining the roster include Elizabeth Banks, Mary J. Blige, James Cameron, Melinda Gates, Lori Gottlieb, Bill Hader, Carole King, Amy Klobuchar, Desus Nice and the Kid Mero, Alexis Ohanian, Amber Ruffin, and more.
Starting next week, SXSW Online passholders will have the chance to start networking with other attendees.
