15th HFFNY presents 6 exceptional films competing for the Best Documentary Havana Star Award. These documentaries, portraying true Latino stories that will stay with you, will be screening at Quad Cinema throughout the festival. Five of the filmmakers will be present and engaging in Q&A sessions with the audience at the screenings. The 15th HFFNY will run April 3-11 at the Quad Cinema and additional venues around the city.
The winners will be announced during the festival's Closing Night, April 11 at the Director Guild Theater (DGA). The 15th HFFNY jury is comprised of prominent members of the local and international film industry. Documentary categories jurors include; TV host and film critic Alfonso Díaz, director and film programmer Juan Cáceres, and Costa Rican film producer Luis Naguil.
