MARDI GRAS FILM FESTIVAL - IN CINEMA AND ON DEMAND!

Queer Screen’s 29th Mardi Gras Film Festival is coming to cinemas in Sydney and on demand in homes all around Australia from 17 February - 3 March 2022.

The lineup includes 50+ features and 60+ short films hailing from 37 countries around the world! In the mix are 6 world premieres and more than 50 Australian premieres to choose from, with international award-winners and films from Cannes, Berlinale, Venice, Sundance and TIFF.

This year, Queer Screen has two areas of focus. Immerse yourself in Rebels with a Cause, zeroing in on history's queer rebels (artists, musicians, activists), who forged a path for the entire rainbow community to follow. You can also dive into a selection of work featuring First Nations films, starting with Wildhood on Opening Night, a Canadian film about a two-spirit youth on a journey of self discovery.

The Festival is your opportunity to go to the cinema or stay at home and experience some great new films from all over the world. With over 110 LGBTIQ+ features, docos and shorts, there’s something to suit everyone’s tastes.
