Meet the Executive Board
Hector Silva
Hector has been a fan, volunteer and financial supporter of the festival for longer than he can remember. He began serving on the Board of Directors in 2012. He brings executive zeal and experience serving other non-profit boards to the team. He remains an community leader and avid Austinite focusing on sustaining the city's community, charm and appeal.
Denise's involvement with the festival began when she volunteered as an usher at the very first CLAIFF. In 2005, she joined the staff as the Hospitality Manager and transitioned onto the board in 2013. Denise holds a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management and has been in the meeting and travel industry for over 10 years.
Gabriel Ornelas
Gabriel's involvement with Cine began as a participant and supporter in 2008. He joined the board in 2010. He has over 20 years of event management experience, including managing a performing arts center and producing large city festivals. Gabriel also volunteers and serves in leadership roles with three different community organizations and as a front of house volunteer for the television program Austin City Limits.
Melinda Gonzales Boe
Melinda started volunteering during CLAIFF17 and joined the board this year. She has over 9 years of experience in the nonprofit sector as a fund development professional. Melinda is proud to have a degree in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas at Austin and enjoys getting more involved in the Austin film community through local projects.
