Documentary Audience Winner Go Short 2016

On Sunday, April 10th the eighth edition of Go Short - International Short Film Festival Nijmegen presented the Audience Award to the best short film based on public vote. The documentary Snails by the Polish director Grzegorz Szczepaniak was chosen by the audience as best film of 2016 Go Short. You Have a Problem, Millions of Tears, The Sniper of Kobani and Home Suite Home placed 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th as chosen by the audience.

Go Short Audience Award

The Go Short Audience Award worth € 1000 is a collaboration with Omroep Gelderland. Snails is a documentary that deals with Polish snails growers who export their snails worldwide. This gives two friends the idea to start a snail farm that will bring them millions. Snails is part of the Breaking Shorts student competition of Go Short 2016. Polish filmmaker Grzegorz Szczepaniak makes his film debut with Snails for which he won the Silver Eye Award 2015 for best short documentary.
